How To Get Your First Game Testing Job

By Musa Aykac

If you are trying to find a job game testing then you may be finding that this is not as easy as it sounds. This is down to the fact that most of these game testing jobs will have a skill requirement but you will also have to have a certain amount of experience too. This is a prime example of a catch 22 situation with no experience you are not going to get a job and with no job, you can't get any experience.

The following ideas could help you out however when it comes to picking up a game testing job.

- It is probably best to accept some jobs paying low wages in the beginning. I'm not saying here that you should allow yourself to be exploited, but taking a few low paying jobs can allow you to gain experience. You can up your charges once you have some experience behind you and you will also find that the work is much easier to come by when you have experience.

- You should consider joining the online game testing communities because these are a great place to find your feet. You are not going to find jobs that are paying large sums of money here but there is work here and it is better than nothing. Use these communities to establish yourself and make your name because that is the best way to make yourself stand out from the crowd.

- Even though the chances of you being accepted for a high paying job are quite low in the beginning, you should still keep applying as you could be lucky. But as you keep gaining experience, your resume will keep improving and this is probably the best way for you to get these jobs.

The recruiters will like the fact that you never give up applying and after a while they will more than likely decide to take a chance on you.
